Comedy day at the Cinema Museum in London 30th November 2024
A fabulous discussion in celebration of comedy writers Vince Powell & Eric Merriman; in general, and the essence of the historical context of humour. Fun, Funny & really rather deep at times! With dear chums GEORGE CAMILLER (Mind Your Language), ANDY MERRIMAN (Hattie Jacques biographer), JAMES PERTWEE (David Croft comedies), and ROGER LEY (The Punch and Judy Man). As I was leaving, actress Anita Harris came over to tell me how much she'd enjoyed my talk. A memorable day for me. Thanks to Robert and Gemma Ross.
'Galatea' is a fabulous read. Mr. Ley's ability to set you into a scene and entertain with his succinct prose is a fabulous gift. I enjoy how the characters in most all his works are intertwined, mainly stemming from his book, Chronoscape. I shall never grow tired of reading his works, and I hope and pray that he never grows tired of producing them!
